This W124 300E is finished in Anthracite metallic with light grey cloth interior. It has covered 123k miles from new with a Full Service History. It has 12 months MoT and is ready to go.

Supplied by Caledonian Mercedes-Benz of Ayr in 1991, it is optioned with cruise control, headlamp wash/wipe, walnut trim, illuminated sun visors, 15-hole alloys, outside temperature indicator and leather steering wheel/gear knob.

Fantastic service history. 23 stamps in total, 15 of which from Mercedes main dealers, then Mercedes specialists along with corresponding bills. In addition, there are a further three recent services not recorded in the service book but for which we have the receipts. Over £5k spent on the car over the last three years alone. Recent work has included a transmission service, new dampers, rear brake calipers, flexible hoses and fluid, new water pump, viscous fan clutch and thermostat, four new Goodyear tyres, window motors… The list goes on.

Overall the car is very clean and tidy. Importantly the jacking points, inner wings and subframe mounts are rust free. The only area of rust is a localised spot on the offside rear wheelarch, see the photographs, which would be very easy to repair.
In 2011 the car suffered a light knock to the nearside front corner. This cosmetically damaged the wing, headlamp and bumper but did no structural damage whatsoever. Of course, insurance companies being as they are, the car was recorded Category C. Knowing how light the damage was the owner decided to repair and the work was carried out by a reputed Mercedes specialist (bill included).

The interior is superb – none of the usual bolster wear, very clean and tidy with all accessories working as intended.
Thanks to a ‘no expense spared’ approach to maintenance, this 300E drives superbly. Perfect oil pressure and temperature, a smooth auto gearbox and no suspension noises.

Comes with all original books/manuals, tools and two keys along with the complete service history detailed above.

The W124 300E was one of Mercedes’ finest hours– fast, smooth and extremely reliable. This example is a well sorted, tidy car that would be perfect for the enthusiast and superb value for money.
