This Pearl Blue 300E was first registered on the 1st August 1991 by Callanders of Aberdeen. It was additionally equipped with eight-hole alloys wheels and headlamp wash/wipe, along with the standard central locking and electric windows.
It has had four owners from new – keepers two and three related and keeper four friends with the former. It shows just 53k miles from new. The car comes with the owner’s manual/books and two keys but unfortunately the service book was lost before the last owner acquired the car. From then we have full records from 38k miles to 53k miles from a Mercedes Specialist. New brakes all round have just been fitted.
The last owner also had the car completely repainted at great expense including two new genuine front wings.
As a result, the body is in beautiful condition. It retains its correct two-tone lower half and the eight-hole alloy wheels are unmarked, wearing Michelin and Falken tyres with good tread.
The blue cloth interior is superb with no bolster wear to the driver’s seat, excellent woodwork and unmarked carpets protected by the original over-mats.
On the road the 300E is very tight and crisp to drive with smooth gearbox and potent engine. Perfect oil pressure and temperature readings.
In summary, a nice, low mileage W124 that’s had plenty of money spent on it to ensure it’s just as smart and useable today as it was 25 years ago. Fast, quiet and extremely comfortable.
