A beautiful R129 SL500 that looks particularly stylish in rare ‘triple black’, with just 69k miles from new, complete history.
It’s a desirable ’96-98 model 500 with the earlier, more powerful M119 engine but benefitting from the later, more flexible five-speed automatic, plus improved engine wiring and climate control.
Supplied new by Bradshaw and Webb of Chelsea in January 1998, this SL was specified with Obsidian Black metallic paintwork, black leather and a black fabric roof and matching hard top, eight-hole alloys, electric/memory seats, rear seats and headlamp wash/wipe in addition to the standard climate control, cruise control and power roof.
All books and manuals are present including the service book and a large folder of previous service invoices and MoTs. Sixteen services are recorded (the last 08/18) and the car will be serviced again by us on point of sale.
Both remote keys come with the car along with a history of previous owners and an HPI certificate.
A hardtop stand and cover come with the car, as does the ‘500’ personal number plate.
Fantastic condition inside and out with all accessories are working correctly. These SLs are amazing grand touring cars with wind in the hair at a touch of the button, and when specified with the 5-litre engine are rapid motor cars. This one with low mileage feels lovely and tight, refined and potent.
An SL500 is a great looking car but particularly so in all black. This example also has low miles and a comprehensive history, making it a very desirable car indeed.
