This lovely 380SLC has been been in long term ownership throughout its life and is offered today with just 81,000 miles from new with complete service records from new. It is a remarkably well-preserved example.
First registered in London by Bradshaw Webb of Chelsea in November 1980, it had two owners by 1986 when it was sold by Runnymede Motors to an airline pilot who kept the car 22 years until 2008 when it was sold to a lady who then passed it to her father, a car collector, who has owned it since 2010 and covered 3000 miles.
The SLC comes with all books and manuals, stamped service book and a file full of invoices going back to the mid eighties, and every MoT certificate since 1985.
Finished in the classic colour combination of Astral Silver with navy blue velour interior, this SLC is equipped with electric windows, cruise control, headlamp wash/wipe and ‘Mexican hat’ alloy wheels.
The body is lovely, straight and free from corrosion with good paintwork. The interior is very original and in very good order with beautiful walnut woodwork.
The 380 model was produced in the final years of SLC production, and remains desirable today as it introduced the new all alloy V8 engine – rather than the iron 350/450 engines – and the new four-speed automatic gearbox. The SLC model has had something of a renaissance in recent years as buyers appreciate its combination of SL style and four-seat practicality. As a tremendously expensive, prestigious car when new, a good, well-cared for example such as this offers fantastic value with a great deal of style.
