This wonderfully original and immaculate W124 has had just one owner/driver from new until 2018 and covered just 48k miles with a full service history.
Originally supplied by Normand (City) in June 1991 to Natwest Bank as a company car for a gentleman who, when he retired, purchased the car and kept it 27 years until early this year when he gave up driving.
Specified in the most unusual and fabulous colour scheme of Willow Green metallic with green leather interior. Also, unusually, it is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, which makes for very relaxed high speed cruising.
The mileage today stands at just 48,521 miles. This is backed up by a full service history comprising of 24 stamps in the service book. The car was initially serviced by main dealers but since 1998 the car has been serviced by one specialist garage who serviced it 19 times.
In 2015 at 47k miles the speedometer head failed (as is fairly common with these cars) so a new speedo was fitted. This is documented in the history and the original speedo head comes with the car.
In addition to the service book there is a folder of invoices and old MoTs, plus a clear HPI Certificate.
With one driver since new and such a low mileage it is no surprise that this W124 is in fantastic and extremely original condition throughout. The body is completely corrosion free and has not been repainted. The wheels wear the original trims and are shod with matching Michelin tyres.
The interior is in immaculate, original condition. The car has evidently always been garaged as the instrument needles are orange and the woodwork rich and glossy. Original over-mats are fitted.
On the road this W124 is eager, quiet and smooth, with the tightness of a low mileage car.
We love finding highly original, low mileage examples of these fabulous cars and this is a wonderful example of just that. It needs nothing other than a new owner to enjoy it.
