This fabulous S-Class was first registered in 1999, the last year of production for the legendary W140 chassis. Finished in Brilliant Silver with contrasting black leather trim, it has covered just 68k miles from new backed up by a Full Service History.
Being a late, facelift W140, it benefits from the improvements to the wiring harnesses, eradicating the loom problems that blighted the pre-’96 cars, along with improved climate control and the five-speed automatic. It’s well equipped with heated, electric seats, climate control, cruise control plus all the usual refinements, along with 18in AMG Monoblock style wheels that rather suit it.
This S-Class comes with all its original books/manuals, service book and a folder of receipts along with two remote keys and a clear HPI certificate. The car has Full Service History (11 services), the last carried out in July 2018 at 66k miles.
As the pictures show this S280 is in excellent condition throughout. The underside is superb, as is the engine bay. The interior is absolutely immaculate.
On the road, as period reviews suggested, these S280 models perform very well indeed, and this car is particularly refined and tight as its low mileage suggests. An extremely comfortable way to travel indeed.
Viewed by many as the last true Mercedes S-Class, and the last Mercedes engineered without regard to cost, the W140 series has quite a following amongst those who have experienced the luxury and refinement these cars offer.
In short, a great, low mileage example that’s ready to use and enjoy.
